Storytimes

Baby and Me

Friday, November 1st, Friday, November 8th, and             Saturday, November 30th at 10AM

Baby and Me is for babies ages 0 to 15 months. This drop-in short storytime is an interactive session where you’ll learn rhymes, songs, and activities to share with your little one.

Mommy and Me

Friday, November 1st, 8th, and 15th at 10:30AM

Drop-in playtime for children up to age 5. Older siblings cannot be accommodated. Connect with other families when you pop in for fun and active play!

Family  Storytime

Monday, November 4th and Thursday the 7th at 10AM

This 30-minute storytime is aimed at welcoming new families to the library. It includes songs, rhymes and stories that  celebrate reading, books, and using the library as a family. Storytime is   usually followed by a play time or activity. This is a drop-in event.

Pajama Storytime

Monday, November 4th at 6PM

Pajama storytime is a drop-in program for families with         children of all ages. Come dressed in your pajamas and get comfy while we share a few stories.

Donuts with Dad

Saturday, November 30th at 11AM

Come to the library for our monthly Donuts with Dad. Hear a story, do a craft, and enjoy a donut. Any adult is welcome if Dad can’t make it. Donuts donated by our local Dunkin’ Donuts. This program is drop-in for families with children of all ages.

Read to Clyde**

Saturday, November 9th at 10AM—11AM

REGISTRATION REQUIRED

If you are a beginning or struggling reader, need a confidence boost with reading, or would like to become familiar with dogs in a comfortable and friendly environment, come in and meet Clyde, a therapy dog who loves meeting new people. This  program is brought to you by our partnership with Dog B.O.N.E.S.

**Space for this program is limited to 6 children. Each spot will be 10 minutes. Call Youth Services at (508)821-1412 to register. Registration for Read to Clyde opens Oct. 19th.

Read to Millie**

Lego Club

Saturday, November 2nd and Tuesday, November 5th at 2PM

Everything is awesome! Come be a master builder and make your best creation with the library’s legos! We will put your creation on display for a week in the Youth Services room. This program is best suited for children ages 5-12.

Family Movie Matinee

Toy Story 4: rated PG, 110 minutes

Saturday, November 9th at 2PM

This month we will be playing “Toy Story 4”! This is a  drop-in program for families with children of all ages. There will be free popcorn  generously donated by Trucchi’s       Supermarket.

“The Lion King” (2019)

Rated PG, 158 minutes

Tuesday, November 5th at 11 AM

Join us for a viewing of the newly released “The Lion King”! This is a drop-in event for families with children of all ages.

Triumph Inc. / Fun with STEM for children ages 3 to 5

Wednesday, November 6th and 13th at 10AM

Registration is  required. Call Miss Nancy at 508-822-5388, ext. 208 for more info or to register. Space is limited. Adult participation required.

Calling future scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians! Test theories and predictions through a compilation of science, technology, engineering and mathematical experiments. Learn to become problem solvers, innovators, creators and collaborators while having fun!

Youth Services Writing Club

Tuesday, November 5th and 19th at 4PM-5PM

Writing is a powerful tool for creativity, self expression, and literacy skills. Join us as we work on writing and storytelling skills as well as discover poetry and other means of  expression. Ages 8-14.

Board Game Night

Tuesday, November 5th and 19th at 4PM-5PM

Stop by the library to play a variety of popular board games! Multiple games will be available to choose from each week, all of which will be provided by the library. This is a drop-in      activity for children of all ages.

Family Game Night

Wednesday, November 14th at 5PM

We have a variety of literacy building games for different reading ability levels – games like Boggle Jr., compound word puzzles, Silly Sentences, and Scrabble Jr. to name a few. This is a drop in activity and is open for pre-readers to advanced readers. There will be a small snack provided.

Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh!

Wednesday, November 20th at 4PM

Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh trainers, come by after school to battle other trainers. If you’re new to the game, borrow a library deck for a session to see how you like it. During this program we will play short Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh movies. This program is drop-in for children 12 and under, and held on the third Wednesday of the month at 4PM. To keep things fair, trading cards will not be allowed at the Club.

Drop-in Chess

Drop-in Chess is a program for children to come in and learn the game of chess as well as the chance to play with other children. This program is instructed by our High School volunteer. This program is drop-in for children of all ages.

Disney’s Live Action Aladdin rated PG, 129 minutes
Saturday, September 14th at 2PM
This month we will be playing the movie “Disney’s Live Action Aladdin”! This is a  drop-in program for families with children of all ages. There will be free popcorn generously donated by Trucchi’s Supermarket.

Meet and Greet with Clyde
Saturday September 7 10-11 AM

Do you know about our Read To A Therapy Dog program? We’ve partnered with Dog B.O.N.E.S Therapy Dogs of MA to bring in service dogs to sit as an audience for young readers. During this drop in program, come in and meet Clyde and learn more about the benefits of reading out loud can have for children who enjoy reading, or are learning to read.

This program is brought  to you by Triumph, Inc.’s Coordinated Family & Community engagement program. Children  attend with a participating adult.
