The library will be closed on Monday, February 17th in observance of President’s Day.

Our Winter Reading Program will be continuing through February 29th. Stop by the Youth Services desk to grab another book bingo sheet!

February Vacation Activities
All of the supplies for our activities are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library!

Tuesday, February 18th
STEM Academy: Paper Circuits**
Participants will learn the basics of electricity and how circuits function by building paper circuits. Then, they will use what they’ve learned to build a miniature Luke Skywalker Light  Saber.  Materials provided by Sullivan Family Dental and instruction provided by Coyle and Cassidy engineering students.

Tuesday, February 18th
Family Movie Night — 5PM
The Addams Family | PG | 87 Min
This is a drop-in program for families with children of all ages. There will be popcorn, generously donated by Trucchi’s Supermarket.

Wednesday, February 19th
Candy Bar Bingo — 2PM
Bring a wrapped fun sized candy bar to earn an extra bingo sheet (up to 3). When you get Bingo, you’ll choose your prize from the candy!

Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh!  Club
Wednesday, February 19th at 4PM
During this program, we will play short Pokémon /Yu-Gi-Oh! movies. This is a drop-in program for children 12 and under. Trading of cards will not be allowed at the Club.

Music + Movement
Thursday, February 20th at 10AM
Join us as we dance, clap, and play to popular rhymes and music! This is a drop-in program is recommended for children up to age 5.

Celebrate winter during our school break Winter Carnival! We will have all sorts of fun things like games, winter crafts, a photo opportunity, and face painting!

Friday, February 21st
Marvels of Motion — 10AM
In this high-energy event, children see Newton’s laws of motion in action. They try exciting experiments, compete in crazy competitions, and learn the physics behind some of their favorite sports.

Saturday, February 22nd
Olaf Sock Snowman— 11AM
Do you want to build a snowman? Join us at the library to create your own Olaf Sock Snowman that you can take home with you!

Mommy and Me
Tuesdays in February at 1PM
Friday, February 7th, 14th & 28th at 10:30AM
Drop-in playtime for children up to age 5. Connect with other families when you pop in for fun and active play!

Lego Club
Saturday, Feb. 1st and Friday, Feb. 21st at 2PM
Come be a master builder and make your best creation with the library’s Legos! We will put your creation on display for a week in the Youth Services Room. Best suited for children ages 5-12.

Preschool Storytime
Monday, February 3rd, 10th & 24th at 10AM
This drop-in preschool storytime engages children through movement, music, and sensory activity play.

Family Storytime
Thursday, February 6th, 13th & 27th at 10AM
This 30-minute drop-in storytime is aimed at welcoming new families to the library . It includes songs, rhymes, and stories that celebrate reading, books, and using the library as a family. Storytime is usually followed by a play time activity.

Baby and Me
Friday, February 7th, 14th, & 28th at 10AM
Saturday, February 29th at 10AM
Baby and Me is for babies ages 0 to 15 months. This drop-in short storytime is an interactive session where you will learn rhymes, songs, and activities to share with your little one.

Family Movie Matinee
Saturday, February 8th at 2PM
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil  | PG | 118 Min
This is a drop-in program for families with children of all ages. There will be popcorn, generously donated by Trucchi’s Supermarket.

Triumph Inc. / Fun with STEM** For children ages 3-5.
Wednesday, February 5th , 12th & 26th at 10AM
**Registration is required. Call Miss Nancy at 508-822-5388, ext. 208 for more info or to register. Space is limited.  Adult participation required.
Calling future scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians! Test theories and predictions through a compilation of  science, technology, engineering and mathematical experiments. Learn to become problem solvers, innovators, creators and collaborators while having fun!

Donuts with Dad
Saturday, February 29th at 11AM
Come to the library for our monthly Donuts with Dad. Hear a story, do a craft, and enjoy a donut. Any adult is welcome if Dad can’t make it. Donuts donated by our local Dunkin’ Donuts. This is a drop-in for families with children of all ages.

Read to Clyde**

If you are a beginning or struggling reader, need a  confidence boost with reading, or would like to become familiar with dogs in a comfortable and friendly environment, come in and read to Clyde or Millie. They are therapy dogs who love meeting new friends. This program is brought to you by our partnership with Dog B.O.N.E.S.
**REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Space for this program is limited to 6 children. Time slots are 10 minutes. Call Youth Services at (508)821-1412 to register.
