Four Ways to help The Friends of the Library Raise Money

The Friends is an organization made up of community residents who help sponsor many of the "extra" events that make the Taunton Public Library special. Funds raised by the Friends also help the the library purchase needed items such as audiocassettes, videos, and museum passes.

This wonderful program helps The Friends of the Library raise money by collecting empty inkjet cartridges to recycle. Simply bring your empty cartridges to the library and you will not only be helping The Friends but the environment too!

What kinds of cartridges?

In general, any non-recycled inkjet cartridge with electronic circuitry on it will be purchased. This includes most cartridges from HP and Lexmark, and some cartridges from Apple, Canon, Compaq, Xerox, and others. Nearly all non-recycled laser cartridges are also accepted.

Have a box or two of books around the house collecting dust, donate them to The Friends. From September through June the Friends organize monthly book sales that are held on the second Saturday of each month, an all day weekday book sale is held in the month of August.
